How HSBC SVNS Works

Understanding the Regular Season and World Championship format

1

The Regular Season

League Phase

During the HSBC SVNS regular season, teams compete across multiple tournaments around the world. Teams earn Series Points depending on where they finish at each event.

Finish Points
1st Place 22
2nd Place 19
3rd Place 17
4th Place 15
5th Place 13
6th Place 12

The World Championship Series

Season Finals

The HSBC SVNS season champion is not automatically crowned after the regular season ends. Instead, the top-performing teams advance to a season-ending World Championship Series.

1

Teams Qualify

The highest-ranked teams from the regular season qualify for the World Championship Series.

2

Points Reset

Previous regular season points are wiped clean, meaning every qualified team starts level again.

3

Crown the Champion

Teams compete across the final championship events to determine the ultimate HSBC SVNS World Champion.
