The High School Collegiate Showcase Kickoff Classic will be held January 16–17 during NCR’s 2027 All-Stars weekend.
National Collegiate Rugby will bring high-school and collegiate rugby together in January with the addition of an eight-team recruiting showcase to its 2027 All-Stars weekend in Kissimmee, Florida.
The inaugural High School Collegiate Showcase Kickoff Classic will be played January 16–17 at the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex. The tournament will run alongside NCR’s expanded men’s and women’s All-Stars competitions, placing high-school players in front of college coaches and recruiters from across the country.
The high-school competition will feature two pools of four teams, with every participating team guaranteed four matches. The championship match will be played in Austin-Tindall’s main stadium.
NCR is not charging an entry fee, although each team must submit a $750 deposit that will be refunded after it attends the tournament. The showcase is also a stay-and-play event, with participating teams expected to use the designated tournament hotel.
Every high-school player will receive a FirstPoint USA recruitment membership. The weekend will also include a Collegiate Recruitment 101 seminar intended to help players and their families understand the college recruitment process.
The showcase represents a significant addition to NCR’s annual All-Stars event. It creates a direct connection between developing high-school players and the collegiate game while allowing recruits to compete on the same weekend as many of the country’s leading college players.
NCR’s full All-Stars festival runs January 15–17 and is expected to involve more than 1,000 athletes and coaches. The men’s All-Stars and Rising Stars XVs competitions will take place January 15–16. The women’s XVs All-Stars, Women’s 7s All-Stars and Women’s Rising Stars 7s will follow January 16–17.
