Results decide the order.

RFC rankings are not a ballot or a preseason prediction. Ratings carry forward from a cleaned historical network and move when eligible XVs results are processed.

01Opponent strength

Beating a stronger opponent matters more than beating a weaker one.

02Capped margin

Score margin matters, but runaway scores do not receive unlimited weight.

03No manual reshuffle

RFC does not move teams because of reputation, injuries or subjective opinion.

04Live updates

Eligible current-season results are added to the existing network rather than resetting it.
